Air Field (Marfa, TX)
About - Phil Boyd (Modey Lemon, Hidden Twin), and Nick Terry (Kimazui Chinmoku, C6Fe2RN6), both living in Marfa, Texas, formed Air Field in 2021. With spare, exploratory guitar lines and synth atmospheres, with occasional music box and kalimba notes appearing, Air Field creates broad sonic environments inspired by the big skies and vast landscapes of far West Texas. Vol.1, their first collection of explorations, released in May, 2022 was followed by a soundtrack they created, Neuro Osmosis, related to the visual (painting) work of Terry and his neuropathologist father. Hitting record at the start of their regular sessions and following their collaborative instincts, tracks vary in length from a couple minutes to a whole album side.
